First, you will make a list of characteristics/qualities of the ads you view (It may help you to critique each ad in order to understand what your looking at). Then you will answer the following questions for each image: 

  • What are ads selling besides a product? 
  • Can an ad sell an idea? How?
  • Who is the target audience?
  • How is it successful/unsuccessful? 
  • How have advertisements from Pepsi changed over time? Or not changed? 
  • Seek out a definition of Culture Jamming and answer the following questions: 

    • What is the purpose? 
    • How does one make a culture jam?
    • How are they typically displayed?
